The Fernie Chamber of Commerce & Griz Days Committee would like to advise the community of the parade route and associated temporary road closures and modifications in effect for Griz Days 2026 taking place from Friday, March 6th to Sunday, March 8th as approved by The City of Fernie.
To support events taking place in Station Square please review the following road closures and times:
Friday, March 6th at 2pm to Sunday, March 8th at 12PM
– The Legion / Station Square parking lot will be closed. Any remaining vehicles will be towed.
Friday, March 6th at 2PM to March 8th at 12PM
– 1st Ave will be closed from 5th Street to 6th Street with limited vehicle access to this area. Businesses, residents and the public are asked not to park in Station Square and the downtown core for the duration of the festival. Any remaining vehicles will be towed.
Friday March 6th at 10PM to Saturday, March 7th at 8PM
– 2nd Ave will be closed from 5th Street to 6th Street. Any remaining vehicles will be towed.
Friday March 6th at 2PM to 8PM
– 2nd Ave from 4th Street to 13th Street. Intersections of 9th Street and 2nd Ave & 8th Street and 2nd Ave are partial closures which will allow the public to access Save-On-Foods and will be lifted as soon as the parade has passed.
